2026 Election & Budget Vote

The school district is including two items for the Schuylerville Public Library on the ballot for consideration by residents:

The first is an election for the Library’s Board of Trustees and is separate and distinct from Schuylerville Central School District’s budget and Board of Education’s elections.  The Schuylerville Public Library is holding elections for two seats on its Board of Trustees this year.  The two candidates who receive the highest total number of votes cast in their favor shall each fill a three-year term ending in 2029, created by the expiration of the current terms of Trustees Amy Carpenter and Katie Veltum.  For more details on the library elections or for nominating petitions, please visit the library, or their website (schuylervillelibrary.sals.edu) or call 518-695-6641.

The second item to be decided on by voters is the $37,000 increase to the Schuylerville Public Library’s annual budget appropriation, which would be a total of $446,000 annually.  The increase will allow the Library to maintain its resources with rising costs and add to library materials and public programming budgets.  The Schuylerville Public Library is committed to offering unique and educational programs for the community.  Each year the Library hosts hundreds of programs and serves thousands of people.  All of its programs and exhibitions are free and open to the public.  Connect here for TLC ~Technology, Literacy, Community!
