Welcome to Beanstack!
What is Beanstack?
Beanstack is an online book discovery service for children and families, linked to the Schuylerville Public Library catalog. In addition to receiving a weekly book recommendation and learning tip in their e-mail, Beanstack users can also browse books, reading lists, learning tracks, themed guides, and app recommendations.
Does it cost anything?
There is no cost for patrons, and signing up is quick and easy.
Who can sign up for Beanstack?
Anyone is welcome to sign up for Beanstack and receive weekly book recommendations and tips.
What if Beanstack recommends a book the library doesn’t have?
All books at schuylervillelibrary.beanstack.org are linked to the Schuylerville Library catalog, so Beanstack will never recommend a book that we don’t own somewhere in our system. Titles on the Beanstack site link our library catalog, so that patrons can easily place holds on recommended books.
What do patrons need to be able to use Beanstack?
For full functionality of the site, users are encouraged to create a profile with their e-mail address and library card number. However you do not need a library card to sign up.
Do patrons need to download an app to use Beanstack on their phone or tablet?
Nope. Beanstack is browser-based but very mobile-friendly.
Here’s how to get started using Beanstack:
- Go to schuylervillelibrary.beanstack.org
- Look for your age group and click register.
- Enter the required information and you’ll be all set with your account.
(Note, a library card is not required to sign up for Beanstack)
