About the Library

The Schuylerville Public Library is classified as a School District Library and is located in Saratoga County in upstate NY.

The Library is a member of the Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS) which serves Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties. SALS shares a computerized catalog system with the Mohawk Valley Library System (MVLS). You can also visit other SALS Libraries and MVLS Libraries on-line and with your library card.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Schuylerville Public Library is to assemble, preserve and provide printed, audio, video and other electronically accessed materials that will meet the educational, informational, cultural and recreational interests and needs of the community serviced by the Library and in compliance with local, state and federal laws. The Library will be a source of refuge, inspiration and safe harbor to all patrons who seek the services it provides.
